Personalised Christmas cards were first sold by Renton Management Services Pty Ltd in 1988 under the original trading name, Australian Credit Stationers. Businesses in Australia and New Zealand liked the original designs and this part of the business quickly grew rapidly. We registered the trading name, Australian Christmas Cards, and developed our first website for Christmas cards for business in 2002.
Many of our competitors do not hold any stock. This means you will generally wait a little longer for your personalized Christmas cards from them as the printing process takes longer. We have always held stock at our premises. This means, once you approve the proof for your personalized Christmas cards, they are printed immediately. We do not have to wait for other customers to place orders.
Since we keep our Christmas cards for business on our shelves, it means we can sometimes be left with surplus stock since our customers often prefer the new designs. Rather than keep the minimum stock on our premises, we actually hold large levels of stock. This includes designs from last year or earlier. As a result, we introduced our range of discount Christmas cards in 2003.
Our range of discounted Christmas cards has now become so popular that rather than worry about being left with surplus stock, the reverse is true. The demand for our discount Christmas cards is so high, that come December, often the choice is small as the best discount Christmas cards are snapped up quickly while stock is still available. The problem for us is that we must keep printing new designs, so we can add more of last year’s designs to our range of discount Christmas cards.
